Independent consulting and asset management services were provided to Silverleaf Financial for a diversified portfolio of retail shopping centers, industrial facilities, and mixed-use properties across multiple states.
These assignments encompassed more than 700,000 square feet of commercial and mixed-use real estate, with responsibilities involving asset performance evaluation, property and leasing oversight, operational assessments, and recommendations intended to protect and enhance property value.
Services were performed primarily through remote consulting and regular client communication, supplemented by property inspections, on-site representation, and meetings with property owners, leasing representatives, and other professionals as needed.

Silverleaf Financial is a private equity firm focused on acquiring performing and non-performing, 1st Deed of Trust whole loans secured by commercial real estate. Since 2008 Silverleaf Financial has purchased in excess of 500 Million dollars in face value notes from banks and other financial institutions. The real estate collateral backing these various notes included retail, office, residential, vacant land and otherwise improved real estate.
In December of 2009 Silverleaf Financial retained the services of Brad Clark and his company COMMERCIAL PROPERTY SERVICES, as a consultant providing services related to asset management and oversight of the leasing efforts. Brad brought a wealth of experience accumulated from over thirty years in the management, leasing and repositioning of retail, office and other commercial properties. In this capacity, Brad worked closely with borrowers in overseeing their management of the asset during the workout process; brokers engaged to lease retail assets; receivers and property management companies; and worked closely with the Silverleaf team tasked with the management of real estate owned.
Brad’s services to Silverleaf Financial exceeded our expectations and he excelled at every level. The level of experience and expertise that Brad Clark brought to the table was invaluable. The opportunities to purchase non-performing notes have diminished in 2012 and Silverleaf Financial is currently focusing on divesting assets as opposed to acquisitions. As Silverleaf transitions through this process, a number of the collateral assets and REO properties that Brad Clark was providing consulting services to have been or are in the process of being phased out and as a result, the opportunity to utilize his services are greatly diminished.
